“Memories are the treasures that we keep locked deep within the storehouse of our souls, to keep our hearts warm when we are lonely.” Becky Aligada
After all our preparation we stepped out of the land cruiser at Syabru Bensi and with our guide and porter we headed towards the Langtang valley. After a year of preparation initially in the UK and then in Nepal we were off on our family adventure.
Ahead of us we had sixteen days of trekking, time together to explore and that simple rhythm of getting up each day packing our bags and heading off on foot. This felt like the most natural thing to be doing.
We headed up to Kyanjing Gompa, where we ascended Kyanjin Ri (4773m) After this we headed back down the valley and up to Thulo Syabru before heading on the Gosaikunda lakes and then over the pass (4610m) and down to Sundarijal.
Rather than a detailed description of our trip I will leave you to look at some of our photos, and to make your own decision if all the preparation was worth it.
I hope you enjoyed the photos, and happy to answer any questions you might have in the comments.
