Challenging Myself with Microadventures: April – Cold night and woodland wanderings

As April rolled on, life’s responsibilities filled my calendar. Holidaying with my children in Pembrokeshire and the inevitable washing and sorting that resulted. With big adventure getting in the way this months microadventure was somewhat spontaneous or last minute.

With my girlfriend by my side, we decided to escape to the woods for an overnight bivvy trip. Armed with a new tarp we climbed the hill under a blanket of stars, feeling the crisp night air on our cheeks.✨

The world slumbered as we reached our haven for the night. The tarp unfurled, and we settled in for what turned out to be a cold night. My summer sleeping bag put up a brave fight against the chilly embrace.❄️

Dawn broke, and with it came a renewed sense of wonder. We packed up our humble abode and wandered down through Linacre Reservoir. We couldn’t help but feel grateful for these simple yet profound moments that only nature can offer.🌄🌳

Home and work beckoned, and so our journey came to an end. Here’s to many more last-minute #microadventures and discovering the beauty in the unexpected. 🏕️🌠
